APRIL 18, 2019 [GREGORY, TEXAS] The City of Gregory partnered with Gulf Coast Growth Ventures (GCGV) for upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant. The improvements will provide an increase in capacity, added reliability to the system through a backup generator, and significant electrical upgrades.
Additionally, these improvements will give Gregory the ability to increase future developments. The City of Gregory will feed a secondary water supply for GCGV’s administration building. The manufacturing facility will receive water from the San Patricio County Municipal Water District.
“These upgrades are a big win for both the community and our project,” said Bill Cheek, GCGV’s president. “We are thankful to be part of the San Patricio County community and neighbors to Gregory. As our relationship continues to grow, we look forward to what the future will bring for both our project and the city of Gregory. We are one team.”
GCGV’s proposed plastics manufacturing plant will be located just outside of Gregory. The plant site is in pre-construction activities now, with a timeline for startup in late 2021.
